Kia India Unveils 2025 EV6: A Premium Electric SUV with Advanced Features

Kia India has introduced the much-anticipated 2025 EV6, its flagship electric SUV, priced at ₹65.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest iteration brings significant upgrades in design, technology, and driving range, reinforcing Kia’s commitment to the Indian EV market.

For many prospective buyers, an electric vehicle isn’t just about sustainability anymore—it’s about performance, style, and practicality. The 2025 EV6 aims to check all these boxes, making it an attractive proposition in the fast-evolving premium EV segment.

Aesthetic and Design Upgrades

One of the first things that catches the eye in the updated EV6 is its bolder, more dynamic stance. The sharper LED headlights and redesigned daytime running lights (DRLs) give it a more commanding road presence. The aerodynamic tweaks aren’t just for looks; they also help improve efficiency, making the car more refined on highways.

Ravi Mehta, a tech entrepreneur from Bengaluru, recently switched to EVs and believes design plays a crucial role in adoption. “When I bought my first EV, I wanted it to turn heads. The EV6 does exactly that. It’s futuristic but also elegant, which is rare,” he says.

With new color options and a refined take on Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, the EV6 now appeals to those who want a stylish and sophisticated ride that reflects the shift toward an electric future.

Technology and Safety Enhancements

The 2025 Kia EV6 now features the latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) 2.0, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring. These features not only enhance safety but also ease the transition for those new to electric vehicles.

Inside the cabin, a curved dual-screen display dominates the dashboard, merging a 12.3-inch digital driver display with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The interface is smoother, with AI-powered voice recognition and seamless wireless connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Adding to the futuristic appeal is the Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD), which projects navigation, speed alerts, and safety warnings directly onto the windshield.

For Ramesh Kumar, an early EV adopter in Mumbai, these upgrades make all the difference. “I use my car for long drives, and having all this tech means I don’t feel fatigued as much. The AR display and ADAS make driving effortless, especially in city traffic,” he shares.

Performance and Extended Driving Range

One of the biggest hurdles for potential EV buyers has always been range anxiety. Kia has addressed this by equipping the 2025 EV6 with a 77.4 kWh battery pack, which now delivers a driving range of up to 663 km on a single charge (WLTP-certified). This makes the EV6 a strong contender for long-distance travelers who have been hesitant about switching to electric.

In terms of performance, the EV6 is no slouch. Available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), the AWD variant produces 320 bhp and 605 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. With an 800V architecture, ultra-fast charging allows a 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger.

Sneha Verma, a financial analyst who recently booked an EV6, believes range and performance are key. “I was waiting for an EV that combined great mileage with speed and luxury. The new EV6 feels like the perfect package,” she says.

Market Positioning and Future Prospects

With India’s premium EV segment gaining momentum, the Kia EV6 finds itself competing with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BMW iX1, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and Mercedes-Benz EQB. However, Kia’s ability to blend futuristic design, top-tier technology, and extended range gives it a distinct edge.

To make ownership easier, Kia India has rolled out exclusive benefits such as home charger installation, roadside assistance, and flexible financing options. The company is also expanding its EV charging infrastructure across major cities, a move welcomed by current and potential EV owners.

The Indian government’s push for EV adoption through incentives and subsidies further strengthens Kia’s position. As the market evolves, experts believe that premium EVs will play a crucial role in normalizing electric mobility.

Booking and Availability

Bookings for the 2025 Kia EV6 have officially begun at select Kia dealerships and through the company’s website. Deliveries are expected to start soon, with Kia ramping up production to meet growing demand.

For consumers looking for an electric SUV that doesn’t compromise on luxury, performance, or technology, the 2025 Kia EV6 might just be the perfect choice. As India shifts gears toward a sustainable future, vehicles like the EV6 serve as a testament to how far electric mobility has come—and how much further it can go.
